Casino Establishes Yukon Foundation Scholarship to Recognize Western Copper and Gold Corp. Founder Dale Corman

In August 2022, Western Copper and Gold Corporation (Western) founder and former Executive Chairman Dale Corman was inducted into the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame.

This prestigious recognition celebrates individuals who have contributed to Canada’s mining industry as a global leader; recognizing outstanding achievement as a leader in the industry with the goal to inspire future generations in mining.

To honour Mr. Corman’s contributions to the territory’s mineral industry over the past several decades, Western, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Casino Mining, established a $300,000 scholarship fund in his name, which is administered by the Yukon Foundation.

This fund will grant annual scholarships for up to $5,000 in Mr. Corman’s name to pursue post-secondary education in science and engineering. The scholarship provided one $5,000 in 2023 and will grow to offer multiple awards in future years.
